Terry has been a strong creative force and leader in sports, gaming, and entertainment for over 35 years. He creates content with major studios like Sony Entertainment and Universal Studios, and has held top creative leadership roles at companies like Electronic Arts, Sony Computer Entertainment, Activision, and Zynga. He is also well-known for his art and creative direction for video game properties such as God of War for Sony, Americans McGee’s Alice for Electronic Arts.

Terry’s creative consulting business, Terry Smith Creations has played a major role in the launch of many well-known products and franchises over the years. He and his company have provided IP creation, development and management services, creative direction and art direction, product ideation and development, manufacturing, and strategic marketing planning and execution. 

One of Terry Smith Creations’ most successful logo and branding efforts was the development of the original logo and uniforms for the San Jose Sharks (NHL). The success of the Sharks merchandising changed how the NHL and the rest of the professional sports world approach their identity and branding today. TSC’s innovative approach allowed Sharks merchandise to quickly become the NHL’s top seller when it debuted and ranked among the top-selling sports logos worldwide before the team even played its first game.

One of Terry’s latest ventures is the Small-Stars product line, which features uniquely stylized caricatures of the stars of NBA. His unique product vision merges a pop culture art style and vinyl toys to create sculpted figures—bringing the stars of the NBA to life for collectors in a whole new way.

Although he stays quite busy designing everything from custom cars to apparel, when Terry can find the time to paint there is nothing he enjoys more than expressing his appreciation for great athletes, their incredible athleticism, and accomplishments through art. 

Terry’s paintings have been used for major sporting events including the Super Bowl, Rose Bowl, and NHL All-Star Game. His art has been commissioned by numerous athletes, companies, and collectors who find his illustrative storytelling style compelling. Over his career, Terry has created images for teams in every major U.S. sports league including the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and MLS. He was also the creator of the original Pro-Visions series collection of trading cards for Fleer during the early ’90s.
